Automating or an option for adding a featured image

    Long-shot and I’m guessing the answer is no but I thought I’d ask. I have had this blog for 9 yrs and have over 800 posts. The template that I’m now using is magazine-themed and has a featured image property.

    I can’t go back into 800+ posts and pick out a featured image for each post (from the standard image which I generally include in each post). Thus, the theme isn’t working the way it should be in terms of how it looks.

    Is there any way you can please go into the backend and automate/auto-generate a featured image from my posts? I believe self-hosted can do this but I appreciate that’s a different kettle of fish.
