Automattic News Not Working In The WordPress.com Reader

  Hello,

  I would like to report that Automattic News (http://automattic.com/news/) does not work properly when you Follow it from the WordPress.com Toolbar and the WordPress.com Reader, it will let you Follow it, but you will not get Email Alerts or Posts in the WordPress.com Reader; and so you never know when new posts are made on Automattic News.

  Here is a screenshot of what is shown in the WordPress.com Reader when you are following Automattic News and when you click on it to see posts:

  I have noticed this before in the past but I have never reported it before as far as I can remember.

  I would like this to be fixed so that I can easily keep updated on various Automattic services without having to Follow all of the services individually and/or manually.

  Hey John,

  http://automattic.com/news/ is actually part of our company website and aggregates news from our blogs. We don’t post anything there other than our pages, and that’s why our feed is empty. :) Hope that clears things up.

  Is there anywhere that I can get a unified feed of news about Automattic services that I can Follow/add to the Reader without having to Follow all the services individually?

  Hey John,

  There isn’t one united feed for that, but you can use an RSS aggregator service to combine various feeds into one. Please check out these resources:

  I tried RSSMix, and it works great. Here’s a custom feed I created:

  Since WordPress began using Automattic (new host?) I’ve had problems loading pages on my iPad. The main Stats page, for example, will not load fully, instead showing spinning wheels for most of the categories.
  The gibberish at the end of this message is because I can’t edit in this message box, another example of the problems now when using my iPad at WordPress. No problems with Macbook.
