Autosave and sudden refresh

    I was working on wordpress and my save/update button wasn’t working no matter how many times I pressed it. When I tried to opened a new tab and went back, it restarted , and ended up deleting all of my work. The autosave didn’t autosave because it didn’t have anything I did. It said that the last time I saved was 50 minutes ago, and it showed that i changed another paragraph – which I didn’t. Is it gone forever?

    Thanks for reaching out to us for some help! There are revisions available for every post. On the right hand side of the screen when you have the post opened to edit, there’s a “revisions” tab. Click there, you can restore the best option.

    This behavior is consistent with network problems. I personally have poor connection when we get rain storms and have had this happen myself. You can always check that by running a speed test. When this happens I would advise to copy + paste the content in to a note or non-wifi dependent program until it gets back to regular performance. This way you can guarantee you haven’t lost any time or work.
