autosave didn’t work

I crashes luckily auto-save seemed to have most of the post. I did a compare and then clicked on the auto-saved version, but it loaded the older version instead, there was no way to go back at that point – is there another option that saves several updates over a particular time period for changes made.

yes I know I should have copied and pasted into word or notepad – lesson learned.

Don’t paste into Word. Word will only bring you heartbreak ultimately.

I always select all, copy all just before I hit Publish. It just saves so much heartache. You can also use an offline blog editor as discussed here:

I have this strange thing happen. When I go to edit post, a line comes on to top of the page saying that there is another more recent version of the page. But if I click on that I am taken to an even older version than the one I have! Anyway, this happened to me once and maybe it was some glitch, maybe even my fault, but I came to check if anyone else had this problem. Anyway, now I am just not clicking on that line in red!

Yes, I’ve seen it. When I go to Edit a post, just when it opens it says “a newer save exists” which is bullshit. Just ignore it. They should take that out until it works better.

I get the “a more recent” too it’s more annoying than anything else. I’ll add a “.” and hit save just to make it go away.

but a feature that saves the last, say 10 entries/edits/updates would be good. time stamped like restore or wikipedia.
