autosave didnt work from wordpress.com mysites new post dashboard
-
Hi,
I’m newish to wordpress.com and i was writing a new post, it got pretty long and i dont think i clicked save because i thought it was auto saving like when i use wordpress from my actual site dashboard.
so what i mean is, i clicked the ‘new post’ button on the blue wordpress.com menu bar. I usually write posts by just going directly to my blog and click new the post, you know what i mean?
Anyway, when i was finished i scanned over my article and then clicked ‘my sites’ to go to my dashboard of my greataussiepie.wordpress blog. when i got inside and went to edit my post from there, half of it was gone@! and im totally bummed out cause i spent like 2 hours on that last section.
Im just hoping by some small chance there is a way to recover it? i thought maybe when you write posts from the blue and white wordpress.com dashboard that it is being saved somewhere else temporarily or something. Im almost certain i sore the draft saved thingy as i was scanning up and down my article, i can’t believe most of is gone when i look from within my own dashboard.
I hope someone can help, but i fear i may just have to forget about this article or re-write it.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

oh man i can see an autosave thats newer than the current version. the current version is less than half my article and the newer version is just over half, but still missing the part that i need to recover :(
I think i know the answer to my own question :( noooo!!!
kids, use that save button!

No, the key is to NOT use the New Post button.
