Autosave not working

  When editing a post, the autosave won’t work. It says ‘saving’ but it just hangs, and nothing happens. When I leave the post then return, it still hasn’t saved and I have to start again .

  Hey there, If you are writing in the new dash Post Editor, did you give your post a title before saving the first time?

  Looking at your profile page https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/fandancer2013 it looks like you’ve had this problem for a while.

  Did you try using a different browser as dinsanwp suggested in his reply to you in this thread? https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/cant-write-new-post-2?replies=2#post-2683935

  What browser and OS are you currently using?

  I’m on the iPad. I’m not good with terminology and computer stuff. I read that you should try clearing the history, and this seems to have done the trick.
