autosave not working

    When writing in a browser window (Firefox, latest update), or in the WordPress.com desktop app (on a Mac OS platform, if that’s a factor), autosave is not working and I lose revisions. A lot of revisions. Is this a bug I can out-smart? Hitting ‘save!!’ doesn’t seem to do much once something’s gone wrong with the post, and I’ve yet to find a way to copy the post in a window into something else so I can save what I’m about to lose (although I haven’t tried very hard with that.

    Oh no! That definitely shouldn’t be happening.

    Could you tell us some more details about this? What is the version of the desktop app that you’re using? Have you tried if the same happens on other browsers too?

    About the issue – does auto-save work at times, just randomly failing to save things, or it just never saves anything unless you click the Save button? When have you started noticing for the first time?
