Autosave refresh rate
-
Hi there!
I read of a similar problem to mine here</>.I am not that angry, but I just wonder about the following problem:
I use not IE 8 on win 7, but I experienced the same problem on different OS and different IE versions as well as in Firefox (I don’t remember Opera): when I write a post in HTML mode the auto-save kicks in at a very high refresh rate, say every 5 seconds maybe, and at the end of the saving the cursor is of course brought back to the starting position of the post. Also (not sure if relevant or not) I enter the editing and blog through HTTPS (only way in China!).
Saying that I use HTML mode only for adding some special features to pictures or making some small corrections here and there, it is not a terrible problem, but just a little annoying.
Has anyone experienced anything similar?
Suggestions about how to solve it?Otherwise no complaints about auto-save, very useful when living in China like me and sometimes being suddenly thrown out from the site..
Thanks in advance!

When you are writing or editing your posts and pages on WordPress.com, the changes you make are automatically saved every 2 minutes. Please see here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/autosave/
I believe you ought to file a Support ticket with Staff detailing what you are experiencing. Here’s the link to do that http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

Thanks for the links.
When editing in HTML it is definitively not 2 minutes the refresh rate.
And I actually experienced the same before moving to China, so it is not related to the https use.I will ask the Happiness Engineers from support then. They are always so kind!
:)Thanks a lot again for your prompt suggestion!
