    I was told that when I purchased Avada, I would have free access to WordPress. I can’t figure out how to load Avada in WP.

    Hi there,

    To clarify, I think that Avada is referring to the free “open source” version of the WordPress platform.

    It is software you can download from wordpress.org for free, and install on any web server. It is the DIY version of the platform if you will.

    Here on WordPress.com we use a different version of the platform, an managed service where we handle all the hosting and technical stuff for you. However, Avada does not work with free WordPress.com sites. To use your theme you will instead need to upgrade to our WordPress.com Business Plan, which will unlock the ability to upload 3rd party themes and plugins “designed for WordPress”
