Available name?

    I make another try with this question:
    I’d like to start a new blog. However, the name I’d like to use is said to be taken already. When I search for the blog on the internet I’m told that the blog is closed. My question then is: will the name of a closed blog be “released” to be used by a new user or is it forever spoken for? For how long do I have to wait for the release? A month? A year?
    Anybody who can answer my question?
