cannot see it. have tried everything.
it’s a B/W jpeg of 17.4 KB, measuring 80×80 pixels.
why wont it work?

Amanda, I think this usually happens when the image has a transparent background. Try saving it in a different format; usually a jpg, png, or gif works best with WP. And if you can match it to the exact size (128 x 128 pixels) that can help as well.

Once you’ve uploaded it again, it might a few hours for the changes to show across WordPress; they tend to appear in the forum first, then in comments. There’s a thread below that you can use to test your avatar to see if it’s working. Hope that helps.

The other thing is that avatars are 128 x 128 and need to be that size when uploaded.
