I changed my avatar in my profile. My profile now shows my new avatar. BUT – when I make a post on another wordpress blog, it is showing my old avatar? How long does it take to change or is there something else I need to change? thx.

It takes several hours for avatars to connect across all the parts of WP.com, but they will eventually all change, even the old ones.

Eventually I had to reupload my avatar to get it to replace the old one. Some sizes were appearing, others not.

I have a similar query: my old avatar keeps showing up on my wordpress.com login page, even though I have a different avatar uploaded to my profile. I don’t really want the old one to be visible as I’d like to have a little more anonymity and the old one has a picture of me on it.
Anyone have any suggestions to rectify this?

If you have change the email address in your profile–>contact info, you must be change the email in the gravatar site http://en.gravatar.com/site/login (username and password are the same of your wordpress blog) I do it and now gravatar is ok! Excuse for my english..

My gravatar shows the new profile pic, but the old avatar pic remains visible on member profile pages…I wonder if this is somehow connected to the changes with the new dashboard design, since my avatar reverted back to the old one of it’s own accord around about the same time…

My avatr also converted back to the old one, and I have changed the gravatar to the new one, but the old pic keeps showing up places with no discernable pattern.

I have the same problem as vany. An old gravatar showed up from last month. My new gravatar shows up in settings, but in posts, it is still the old one? What can i do, i have reloaded twice and this just popped up yesterday.

i am having a similar problem as you guys. out of no where, my avatar changed back on its own to one i haven’t used in a long time. i went to my profile and changed the image, but the new one isn’t showing up.
is clearing the cache the answer & what does that mean?

My Gravatar just disappeared. I checked the other thread, and tried clearing my cache, I checked to make sure I didn’t change any email stuff (which I didn’t), logged out and logged back in, and I am getting a generic icon, not my normal Gravatar.
