  How do I put an image in for my avatar?

  My suggestion is to do it directly at http://gravatar.com/ . While logged into wordpress, go to that URL, click on “my accounts” at top left, click “add an image” and then upload your image. The avatar/gravatar thing here has been kind of flakey for the last several months, but doing it directly through gravatar.com seems to always work.

  It may take up to a couple hours for your new gravatar to start showing up everywhere.
