Avatar image vanishes from blog when I log in?

  It’s strange, and I have no explanation for it, but my avatar vanishes when I log in and visit my blog.

  If I’m not logged in and I wait a while, the avatar image changes from “unknown-48.jpg” back to “katarai-48.jpg,” but the moment I log in, it switches back to “unknown-48.jpg,” which is the gray box with the white silhouette of a person.

  I’ve tested it on a few themes, and it’s still doing it, so I’m totally at a loss as to what’s going on, now.

  Hm. Doesn’t actually seem to be related to whether I’m logged in or not. It’s working right now, but wasn’t working a few minutes ago.

  I am having a similar problem. It seems that my avatar keeps disappearing and reappearing randomly.

  I am having the same problem today and I am reading all over wordpress to see if there is a day/date/browser issue but I doubt it. I cannot seem to figure out what I am doing wrong yet.

  I have tried:

  *logging in with three different browsers
  *logging in and out
  *trying four different images as avatars (different formats .jpg and .png)

  I am a bit flubbed by this. I have found some fun testing areas, although any post will test my avatar. Time will tell I guess…who knows.
