  I think that this should be made a feature in WordPress, having it so on every blog post there will be an avatar alongside the post.

  I already have a photo of myself on the top of the sidebar (in cutline) so that would be redundant. It should be optional if offered.

  Yes, of course optional.

  I have mine in my sidebar too, but I would prefer it above posts.
