Avatar not appearing correctly

  Instead of the photo I uploaded and chose to appear with all posts associated with my e-address, I’m getting a black box as an avatar. Shiite–I’m not that ugly! Can someone help me figure out how to resolve this issue? I’ve tried re-uploading, and the picture always shows up on my profile but not on my comments on the various WordPress blogs (not my own–don’t have one). THANKS!

  Your gravatar here looks like a person with a sun-hat or cow-boy hat (sorry, not up on hat terminology) not a black square.

  If you don’t have a wordpress.COM blog, are you talking about uploading your photo at gravatar.com? If so, make sure that the email address you used for it matches the email address you are entering when you post on blogs.
