I can see a black cat avatar. Which browser are you using? I’m using firefox 2.0.0.7. I’ll switch now to IE6 and look again.

Here I am again using IE6 and I can clearly see the black cat avatar.
Can you provide a link to a comment you made please so I can see if I can see your avatar?
What do you mean by avatar display and “profile”? The only relationship between the two is that you upload an avatar on the “Your Profile” page. It does not display in the profile on your blog or here in the forum. -

The avatar wasn’t showing at all earlier to me, until I tried to upload another one, and that was barely successful. I do have an image of sorts on my end, but only the top left corner of the image I linked to shows for me. Weird that it isn’t showing for others as it displays for me.
Here is a blog entry as well, with other people’s avatars not showing. Cruxphoto, silken, Chrisy, and my avatars do not show on my end on this entry.

Ok, guess not on the profile, heh… *blush* It isn’t showing for me on the “admin” version of that link. I am still getting only the upper left corner (an ear and eye) of my avatar.

I see avatars on every one of the comment boxes (including your black cat face on your comments) except for one commenter – silken who has no avatar depicted.

Came back to add, whether I click to expand the crop area or just click the “crop image” button, I still get the same results. I tried that, to no avail.

Er, the crop2 image is what results when I try to expand the crop area though. Once the highlight/selector (what I term “crop area”) bit shrinks, it cannot be expanded or moved.

Yes, I had noticed that avatars were appearing and disappearing here in the forum. A forced reload would bring some back, but then others would disappear.

Here is a screen cap of the latest things I have observed in the Avatar test forum topic. Notice, that it isn’t just my avatar that is showing only the upper left corner?

Hi, I am also having the same issue; I go to upload a 128×128 image, which is a jpeg, which only has letters in the file name, and after I click upload it tells me to “crop”, but the crop area is blank, and I can’t move it; then only the top left corner of my pic appears in the bottom right corner of the black box avatar; here is a link to my page, you can see it in the “my comments” part of the sidebar:
If this is a bug, or some overall error, then I will check for a response in this forum, and hopefully it will get fixed soon? Should I contact WordPress Support as well?

Am having the same issue with a 128×128 pixel avatar. Crop is showing up in the upper-left of the image. Won’t let me manipulate it at all. So, still having problems today (11th).

You guys sent in a report to support also, right? I did… Still having problems atm, I’ve stayed in contact with Support about it though.

Yea Im having the exact same problem as katmeanders. When it goes to the crop part, it is blank white and if I try to move the box it just gets really small.
I also see that dobeman and romi41 are having the same problem as well,their avatar is only the top left corner of the picture.
