will it clear on its own?

i looked at the directions and became overwhelmed.

i reloaded the image that used to work and now doesn’t as a blovatar and a gravatar and whatever all of it is

ahh see the problem? shrinky dink. i was on the test reply and i didn’t really use it much because the image was shrunk. thanks.

for what it’s worth i’m on a newer macbookpro using safari

@artpredator, I think we need to know what is “old” and what is “new”.

What I’m seeing is someone smiling at the camera, wearing a hat and sunglasses. Is this the old one or the new one?

thanks for getting back to me.

i am using the same image. it is shrunk to a quarter of the square.

good news tho–my blovatar has shown up and is the right size.

and it was the right size for a comment i just posted on a blog i’ve never been before.

so i went to a blog where i comment often http://gingatao.wordpress.com and it’s still srhunk there as well as on my own blog.

i am starting to suspect it is some sort of caching problem which leads me back to my first question: will the cache clear on its own when i turn off the computer tonight? or do i ahve to try do something more challenging like try to follow the clear your cache directions.

    thanks,

so maybe it is shrunk for me and not for you?

Since I’m not a safari user, I cannot answer about the cache. I use FireFox and clear the cache manually when the browser shuts down.

    Here’s a screenshot of what I see

thanks for the screen shot–my version is 1/4 of yours

now sure why i said safari when i use firefox (i think that was why i even brought it up–that firefox is preferred)

so how do you clear the cache manually when the browser shuts down? do you do that every time?

    thanks

@artpredator, go to the “safari” menu and simply select “empty cache” and that will do it. Safari doesn’t empty the cache on a schedule. When the allotted amount of disc space is full, it just starts deleting the oldest cache files as needed.
