  Why does WordPress have avatar in recent comments but not recent posts? Some bloggers might want to have that feature since some blogs have more than 1 author.

  you could make a suggestion by contacting support. alternatively, you could create one category for each author, tagged it whenever that author makes a post, so readers can search for posts by that one author.
