Avatar uploaded, old avatar still showing…

I’m not sure how to phrase this so it will make sense, but here goes:
I am an author on two blogs. I created a new avatar for the second one and wanted to use it on both, so I uploaded it over my old avatar. It seems to have worked… except when I log in, my old avatar still shows up. The old one also shows up on the second blog where my author pic is shown.
It’s been about 2 hours since I started playing with this, and it’s still not showing up correctly… is there any way to get rid of the old image, or am I stuck with that, since that was my avatar when I was added as an author on the second blog?

Additional Note: The image that I’m seeing (the person holding the sign) is the old image… the new one is just a headshot.
I could only find one place to change avatars, and I thought I’d done that already…

It takes a while for the image to get through the servers it can take up to
a day before you see the changeIf you see your avatar change between new & old
it’s normal it’s just that some of the servers have the image
saved and some don’t yet.. When your browser requests a page from
WordPress, some times it’s receiving the page request from the server that
has your new avatar saved… -
