Avatar Uploading Trouble

  Hi, I’ve been trying to upload an avatar for 20 minutes now, and whenever I save the picture to paint, it says it is a .bmp, but the avatar uploader only accepts .jpeg, .gif, and .png pictures. Now I’ve tried renaming the picture name (IE: picutre.bmp to picture.jpeg)and it lets me upload it, but when it says ‘the picture was uploaded’, all I see are 3 white boxes with red x’s in them. Can anybody help me resolve this problem?

  delete all the avatars you have uploaded. Save the avatar as jpg – I think you can use export or save as from paint to choose jpg. Then try again.

  Make sure the new file that you have saved as a jpg has a different name from the old file.

  No. Guests can get a gravatar, though, and it will show up on your blog. http://www.gravatar.com
