Avatar uploads but doesn’t appear

    Hello,

    I have uploaded an avatar jpeg at least 20 times in the last few days. The process goes smoothly: I upload, crop the image, and I see the page that says, “All done!” and it shows my the three different sizes of my image.

    However, it never shows up in my profile page, or on my posts.

    Is avatar upload temporarily broken?

    Allright then! It is showing on this post, but not in my profile, or on the blog that I’m most interested in: citythirteen.

    Go figure!

    If you search the forums you’ll find that avatars display faster or slower depending where you’re talking about. They show up first here. It takes a few hours but they will eventually show up everywhere.

    Also: Make sure you’ve chosen a blog template that displays avatars. Not all of them do.

    Also clearing out your browser’s file and cookie cache will also help. Since the new avatar is the same URL as the older avatar, your browser isn’t polling for it again as it’s thinking it’s still teh same file.
