Yes, I have read all of them. I have even put up a Test on the link that you {raincoaster} has posted. even on the Tested page, it is not showing.

Okay, what kind of file are you trying to use for your avatar? Gif, jpg, whatever? Did it appear to upload normally when you uploaded it? Did you get an error message? And how long ago was that? Sometimes it does take some time.

I am using a .jpg file. Yes when I uploaded it, it uploaded fine and gave a message that your avatar will appear soon. This was couple of hours back. Do you suggest I wait for a day or so? Thanks for helping out. Appreciate it.

Normally it should show up here by now. How BIG a file was it? Can you use the Upload box to upload it like it’s a normal image and give me the URL so I can look at it?
What’s the file name, prior to uploading? We’ve had weird errors where WP.com doesn’t like symbols and such in the name.

I am uploading it from my PC. Not sure, how I can give you the URL? The file name is “shibani”.
I am uploading it from the profile page. There are no symbols in the name. -
Go to the Write Post page and upload it using the regular upload box beneath Write. See if the uploader there will take it and, if it does, click on Edit and give me the URL. That way I can look at it directly and see what the issue might be.

This is the most strangest thing that is happening… Now I can see my avatar here, and also on my profile page. However it doesnt appear on the page that I log on – i.e the Word Press Bloggin home – the page that appears as soon as I log on. Also, do I specifically have to have to upload my pic in the About Page? Shouldn’t it automatically appear since I have uploaded it on my Profile.

Thanks. I guess the server was just having a hiccup. Nothing wrong with the file. As far as I know, avatars do not automatically show on posts in most themes, even on the About page. You may well have to post it in there.

I upload mine, and it says it has been uploaded, but whenever i look at the avatar, it only shows that person

Why is your username linked to an Etsy site? Do you have a WordPress.com blog? Please link your username to that so we can help you better. We can’t look at your blog to give you suggestions if you send us to Etsy.

this place is crazy….
When I filled out my profile, I put my website address in when it asked for one. I assumed that, as usual (at least with most sites), it would just be posted on my profile for people to see. I did not realize it would actually change my username link. Hopefully that is fixed now though….
My avatar is still not showing up. I’ve uploaded, it confirmed, then it takes me back to that same silly “Upload an avatar message” Why?

Yeah!! It’s finally there….the message just went away too. Must have been part of the whole mess with the address.
