Avatar/Gravatar issue

Hi! Totally confused on something: I have my gravatar (and account) set up but the image (a multi-colored eye) isn’t appearring on comments I leave on other blogs. Is this becasue I can’t get the waveatar option to “unclick/unselect” in the discussions section of Settings? If this isn’t actually may problem, can you direct me as to how to ensure my lovely little image appears beside my name when I leave comments at other sites?

Gravatars only appear on blogs that are equipped to display them and only if the blogger enables display.

Note: Gravatar images are cached and frequently take several days to display after a change. Do not keep uploading! The first place they tend to display is here in the forums and I see your Gravatar here. If several days have passed and that change is not in evidence then post here for Gravatar support > http://en.gravatar.com/site/contact-us/

Try to click on Settings (the small gear towards the right) when you login to WP. There you can adjust a Public Profile.

Above I said “The first place they tend to display is here in the forums and I see your Gravatar here. ” but that’s not the case. I see an identicon. The rest of what I posted above is accurate. -
