Avatars

  Our wordpress blog has 5 authors who post. We want their posts to be accompanied by their avatar. How do I make this happen (for myself; then I can share with others the “how-to” unless there’s some reason this approach will not work). Thanks for any help!

  Since themes can’t be modified to display author avatars automatically, you would need to add the avatars manually to each post. For example, to display the avatar above, you could pop this code into your entry:

  <img src="http://a.wordpress.com/avatar/dvrsoftwareleader-128.jpg" alt="dvrsoftwareleader"/>

  To display other people’s avatars, replace your username with theirs. To change the size of the image, switch 128 to 48 or 16.

  I see — great workaround. If I want it to be *easy* I guess I need to choose a theme that includes Avatars!
