AVG vs WordPress.
-
This didn’t start happening until today. Of course, I have my blog set to be my Home page. When I logged in this morning I got a “Threat was blocked” notification from my AG. The threat which was blocked was an HTML/Framer. File name: s1.wp.com/wp-content/mu-plugins/post-flair/sharing/sharing.js?m=1322684386g&ver=0.2 I hope I spelled that correctly. I don’t know what is going on or if there is something new on my page that is setting off my AVG. I tried to use a different template, but it still happens. I surfed a couple of other blogs, not many, and it didn’t happen, but I did get the same threat from antoher WordPress support page, beleive it or not. Can you help me please? This didn’t start happening until this morning. It does it in both IE and Mozilla browsers. I really don’t want to have to delete my blog and start over again or do I want to go to another blog site. I don’t know why it is only doing it on my blog, I will search other’s and see if I am having the same problem, but it did happen on one of your support pages. HTML/Framer. I don’t even know for sure what that is, but it has never done it before. Can you help me please? It may be an AVG update, I realize these antivirus programs can get a little out of control. I am on an XP machine. I need to see if it does it on my Windows 7 machine as well. Thank you.

AVG has replied and it was definitely a false-positive on their end.
Users will need to update following this guide to remove the warning: http://www.avg.com/us-en/faq.num-3271

I have updated my AVG. Everything appears to be back to “normal.” My thanks to all involved, especially WordPress Support for going the extra mile in contacting AVG as well. WordPress continues to have the most responsive support of any site I know. Thank you for all the years of blogging, and allowing me to express myself through WordPress. You guys rock!
I wish you all a happy holiday.
