Avid galler (images)

Hi – Just bought Avid Theme – really happy with it, but in image gallery when clicking on single image it comes up with “error 404 – not found”. Is there a box I need to tick to make it show them?
Kind regards,
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
How do I remove the RSS button at the bottom of my pages? I’m not even sure what RSS is despite plenty of research!
RSS refers to Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication. Basically, it’s a way for followers of your site to automatically get notified of new posts using an RSS Reader like Feedly. By using these services, readers can follow new posts on your blog without having to visit your site. You can read more about it here:
If you would like to get rid of it entirely, you can use the following CSS under Appearance -> Customize -> CSS:
nav.social li.rss a { display: none; }Just bought Avid Theme – really happy with it, but in image gallery when clicking on single image it comes up with “error 404 – not found”. Is there a box I need to tick to make it show them?
All of your galleries like the one found here are currently working on my side:

Can you point me to a gallery where you’re receiving the error message?

Thanks Jeremy – the RSS link worked great!
The galleries themselves are fine, but if you enter my gallery section (created by Avid automatically) then choose ‘View as Images’, when you click on the individual images the error comes up.
eg. http://gatekeeperphoto.wordpress.com/portfolio/birds-mammals/stag/

After much research, I think it may be because my image permalinks refer to a portfolio set-up. This was an earlier theme that I have switched away from.
Is there a way the link can be fixed/altered? The images are clearly there/available. Or do I have to delete and re-import them all…

Hi G!
Great – I’m glad you were able to get this worked out. The portfolio permalink shouldn’t have created an issue as portfolios are not limited to certain themes; they’re available across WordPress.com. I’m still seeing an image at the URL you posted here:
http://gatekeeperphoto.wordpress.com/portfolio/birds-mammals/stag/
Either way, it sounds like this was resolved. If you have any additional questions or trouble, please let me know!

Thanks for all your help Jeremy – last piece of the puzzle now I hope – attaching http://www.gatekeeperphoto.com (already owned) to my blog.
I followed the instructions on WP support, and changed the name of the name servers as required on my reg-123 earlier today.
Are you able to check to see if I’ve put everything in place correctly, and that it’s just a caae of waiting for the updates to occur?
Kind regards,

Jeremy help!
I think I’ve broken it messing about with re-directs and stuff…
I removed the content from the servers of my old site and now my wordpress address doesn’t even work either(!).
I can see it all through ‘admin’ so hopefully the content hasn’t disappeared, just plea help me get it back up online!

Hi G,
No worries! Your content is safe and sound. I changed the primary domain on your account back to the custom domain as everything appears to be set correctly. The domain is working on my side. If you’re experiencing an error, it’s likely just a caching issue. Can you try clearing your browser’s cache? Instructions can be found here:
Let me know if that works for you!
