Awaiting Moderation

  When I post a comment on another blog, I see the statement, “This comment is awaiting moderation”. What does this mean.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  The blog owner has the comments set such that they must approve your comment – that lets you know your comment has been received but it will not be displayed until someone approves it.

  It is a way of cutting down junk comments and those that are spam or not appropriate for the site.

  Many bloggers, myself included have our sites set to “require moderation of comments” – quite normal
