  Why does the comment I posted to a blog say “awaiting moderation”?

  That means all comments on that blog need to be approved by an Editor or Admin – that is set in the dashboard and is used by many to make sure spam or other inappropriate comments don’t sneak through

  And this could include nearly anything, including something they just don’t want posted even if the comment is intended in good faith.

  If you tried multiple times to comment with the identical comment, it’s possible you got caught in the spam filter. It’s also possible she’s enabled comment moderation, so your comment won’t appear till she’s approved it.
