awesome video post format

  Hi, Im trying to add YouTube URL (unlinked) on the visual post editor as described in your support (https://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/) It says it will automatically gets embedded on the top of the post in the home/archive pages, but I never get the result as shown on your life demo page presenting awesome theme. It is shown only as embedded in the content, after I’m entering the particular post. Im using premium plan. I have tested all possible way I could think of. What do i do wrong? Thank you for any advice.

  The first thing to do is go to the theme section of your customizer and uncheck the box that says:

  Show Featured Image on the header area of single posts/pages instead of galleries/videos.

  That should take care of the problem. If it doesn’t let me know and well look into the specific videos you are using.

  Hi, thank you for your reply. I have unchecked the box but the problem still stays. I’m using videos from my youtube channel ,but I have used a link from a different youtube user just to test – no difference. Still all posts with videos doesn’t get embedded on the top of the post (check Home). They are shown only inside the post itself and NOT in default width and height adapted to the theme. After I put the URL of the video from youtube (not hyperlinked) to the text editor it shows only the link in visual editor. Any advice will be appreciated.

  I tested this as well and while Vimeo videos work as expected, I haven’t been able to get a Youtube video to render correctly either.

  I’ll report this to our theme developers and let you know when there is a fix.

  Hi, thank you. I’m not able to get Vimeo videos work neither. Could you please advise which link should I use? The URL from the browser or the link I can choose after clicking “share” on the particular video? What would be the best step by step way to add videos to the post in WP Admin? Should I always use Media Manager or just paste the link in the text editor of the post? Sorry for all the questions:) Thank you in advance.

  To get a vimeo video to work, all you have to do is post the video link in the post on a line by itself. I was able to get this to work in both editors so that shouldn’t be an issue. Do you have a post where its not working? I’m happy to take a look.
