Back Dating

  Good morning, how do I back date articles? Thank you

  Go to https://wordpress.com/posts and click the Edit link next to the post you would like to change. If you are on a page with a blue toolbar: look for the status box at the top right, find the date inside that box, update it, and click the “Update” button at the bottom of the post. If you are on a page with a gray toolbar, find the publish box at the top right, look for the date and click the “Edit” link to the right of it, make changes to the date, click the “OK” button, then click the “Update” button.

  Be careful when changing the date on posts because it results in the URL for the post to change. What that means is that past manually-created links or bookmarks to the post when it had a different date will need to be updated.
