Back dating posts.

I am having trouble back dating posts. I am using WordPress as an online journal/blog for out of town family and friends. I have several days of information and I would like to change the timestamp to reflect the day the events happened.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Are you sure your timezone is correctly set?
You can reset your date and timezone. The default timezone is UTC time. You can reset your timezone here > Settings > General. There you select the closest city to you in the same timezone in the drop-down menu and then click “save changes”.
Then go to > Dashboard > Posts > All Posts
hover over the title of your post and click the “edit” link.If you are logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog this is what you see here

Site Title __________
Tagline __________Timezone
Choose a city in the same timezone as you.
You can edit any post and in the Publish module on the top right hand corner you can edit the datestamp and timestamp. I know you are not scheduling a post but if you look at the images here https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/schedule-a-post/ in the Publish module then you will know how to edit the datestamp and time stamp and change them.
