Back pages missing background image (front OK)??
-
I have the front page looking how I’d like:
http://brainscope.wordpress.comBut the back story pages are missing the #Page background image that works fine for the front:

Looks like you picked a theme that doesn’t show the sidebar on any page but the first. So your header is too wide. I have no idea how to fix that. Perhaps some of the few CSS gurus can take a look.
-
It was the default template. I do understand that the #Page CSS background image written in the page is taking priority over my custom #Page CSS background image. …but only on the back page. On the front, my custom CSS takes priority.
Do I need to switch templates before customizing the CSS? It doesn’t seem like a template issue.
-
It IS a template issue. Believe me, Kubrick (the default template) is actually one of the glitchiest especially when it comes to editing the CSS. You’ll have a much better experience if you pick a different theme.
-
It’s a pity you changed the theme, I’d have liked to see it. IMHO you should just modify the .widecolumn selector (and maybe the .narrowcolumn, too, I didn’t try).
-
What template do you suggest I use as a base for custom CSS? Do all the templates use the same style sheet parameters or will I have to start over building the CSS after switching to a different template?
-
Use Sandbox. It’s the most customisable and designed to be so. But yes, sadly, different themes do use different parameters.
