  Hello, a week, maybe, back I asked about the ‘self licking’ option and received advice to use the ‘Grub’ to eliminate this.
  sadly< i must be doing soenth g wromng as this idea / tip is not working for me.

  Using during the 'Embed' it refuses to get out of bed if I just use the the slug. It only becomes active when I use the entire url- which is then going to trigger a ping every time I use it.

  Bypassing the enmbed – not ideal as I reallyu, REALLY want the pretty bocx wiht the thumb nail, I can type is say / about (which is the slug) but that does nothing.

  Trying wordpress/about has an equally negative result. (as anticipated)

  This is probably one of those terribly simple things that geniuses miss but most likely I am just doing something plain wrong here.
  I have checked the associated link (how to disengage pings) but it is not so terribly informative in this case.

  If you have an image or three to reinforce the point, so much the better, I learn / understand better that way (sorry, just the weird way I am wired- or the wired way I am weird)

  Lastly, (2 4 1) is it possible to co post or auto transfer my WP posts to Diaspora Mastodon etc sans a plugin please. I dislike plugins. Load time is slow enough without me deliberately knackering it.
