Back up of my website

How do I know if my website is backed up? I’m a senior and don’t understand wordpress other than to publish my blog.

Hi kkkaraoke,
If your website is on WordPress.com (from what I understand, it most probably is) them your blog is safe.
WordPress handles all necessary backups. They make sure that it is saved on redundant servers so that even if 1 server goes down, your data will still be available.
If you need more information:

What is the URL starting with http:// of the site in question?
Note that about 30% of those who post here daily are posting to wrong support forum and the answers to wordpress.COM and WordPress.ORG support questions are not the same.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, support docs and support forums, run different theme versions of themes with the same names, and many people get confused about the two. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ as you could be posting to the wrong support forum.
We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites. We cannot provide support for sites that are not on our servers. Our support docs do not apply to
(1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or
(2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM. That support is found at http://wordpress.ORG/support/
(3) sites linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites wordpress.com account page. That support is found at http://jetpack.com/support/The wordpress.ORG support forums are at http://wordpress.org/support. The wordpress.ORG login link is here https://login.wordpress.org/ If you do not have an account yet then click Create an account https://login.wordpress.org/register/ and if you have lost an account password click Lost password? https://login.wordpress.org/lostpassword/
You can check to see where you site is hosted by typing the URL in here http://www.whoishostingthis.com/
