  I would like to backup my blog in a format other than xml, e.g., pdf, etc. I would like to make ebooks of the more than 6000 poems on my blog but do not know how to extract a workable file or how to convert xml files to a more compatible format. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. pat

  Hi there — while we can’t download/convert files into PDFs, I do have a suggestion about how to create and eBook from your 6000 poems.

  A number of “blog-to-book” services like Blurb, let you import your WordPress blog and turn it into a printed and e-books.

  If that doesn’t suit you, you’d have to export the XML file, import it into a software such as Excel, and then use Excel as a database from which to draw your poems. It is complicated, but possible!

  Thanks for your response. I am glad to learn about Blurb and will give it a try. Please put a request to make it easier to convert xml files to other formats as I am sure I am not the only one who would like to do this. hugs, pat
