Backdate blogs

    Can I backdate a blog? I wrote many blogs via emails before I found wordpress. I would like to add that info to my wordpress site. Is it possible to backdate info added to wordpress blog? Can I add this info without sending out notifications to people who signed up to follow me while I tweak the site if this is possible?
