  I used to be able to edit posts using backend editor, the suddenly today that option isn’t there?

  The address of the site you are talking about would be useful. You are posting from a brand new account that is 30 minutes old and quite probably doesn’t have any sites. Perhaps you should log out from this account and log in again using your correct username and password to reach your site.
