  How do I put a transparent light yellow background on my posts? My site is: intotheparisofthesouth.wordpress.com

  Try this out and let me know if you have any questions:

  .home .post-content {
    background-color:rgba(240,240,10,0.2);
  }

  @mskelseyanne, you may have to use the !important attribute as I have below.

  .home .post-content {
    background-color:rgba(240,240,10,0.2) !important;
  }
