background color

    Hi,
I’m new to wordpress, over the past two months, and am trying to create a site using a block editor FSE theme. I’ve tried a number of these themes with the main purpose of finding one that allows me to have a uniform color (not default white) per page. That is, one page would for example be blue (including the header, footer, background to the text), one red, etc.
I thought this might be simple, but it seems hard to find on any of the themes I’ve tested/activated (even ones that are quite adaptable) a simple way to designate a background color for the entire page, and then to make the blocks of text the same color. I could liken it to the Kenzie theme, which is all a single color on each page, but even that is limited to having the same color one every page. Am I missing something obvious. Surely, it can’t be that complicated to have different colors for different pages and have the headers/footers also have that color. Instead, it seems all the themes limit you to having blocks of text/images standing harshly against another color background (the default in the spaces between the blocks).
    Thanks for any help.
