Background color and/or image no longer showing up
-
A while back, I added the CSS Editor to my site and, after realizing I was in over my head, deleted it within 24 hours. Earlier this week, I activated the Custom Design feature so as to adjust the fonts on my site, and I believe since that time, my original background .jpeg no longer shows up on my site. I’ve even adjusted the background color, but instead of my choice of #a2a27c, it’s a very pale white (perhaps #f1f1f1). I’m using the Twenty Ten theme. Since I’m unsure if any of my botched edits are lingering in the new CSS portion of the Custom Design feature, what steps can I take to get the default theme back? Should I copy the original stylesheet from the Twenty Ten theme into the CSS Editor and save it?

I should point out that I’ve viewed my site on multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox, and IE), and the results are consistent regardless of my browser choice. This tells me my error is either on my end in the Dashboard, or perhaps on the server side.

Hi, this is happening because of all the custom CSS you have entered in the custom design pages. That’s conflicting with the background you have set at Appearance > Background.
If you haven’t yet made any custom CSS changes I’d recommend removing all of that code and clicking “Save Stylesheet.” If you have some changes then I would suggest removing all the code except for those changes and saving things.
That will bring your custom background back to the site. Hope that helps clarify things.
