Background color disappearing

  Hello
  I’m using the following code in the html editor:
  <div style=”background-color: dfe2e8; border: 1px solid BEBFC1;”></div>

  its supposed to make a grey background in the selected area. It works fine in the visual editor. But when I click on preview or update it and go to the actual address, the grey background is gone

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  found the answer i needed to add “#” this before the color code
