Background color of block
-
I am working on a new post in the Visual Editor in which I gave a paragraph block a background color and noted the color’s hex code.
Then, in another paragraph block, I want that one to have the same background color, but I do not see any way to enter the hex code I saved. Is there a way to do that?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Follow below process to add background color at paragraph block;1). After opening the post in the new editor. Click on the paragraph block you want to add background color.
2). From the right side screen you will find a block settings sidebar from where you will have to select “color”
3). Click on “background color”
4). Then click on the custom color palette as shown in the below screenshot.
5). Click on the detail input icon as shown on below screenshot.
6). Now on the input cell you can paste the code as you need.
Here details given on screenshotDon’t forget to update the page after the change.
To know more detailed information about block settings please find here https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/paragraph-block/#block-settings
Hope this helps. Let us know here if you have more query.

After I do step 3, a set of colors appears below the word “Default.” Above it is a hex code which, when I click it, a color box appears with a variety of blues. Using it, I can select another blue, but I cannot enter a hex code.

You are using a custom theme, please visit https://prothemedesign.com/documentation/theme/broadsheet/ for the documentation about your theme. Moreover, you can contact with their support team https://prothemedesign.com/contact/ who will be able to give proper guideline to solve this problem.

Hi there,
Can you confirm the URL of the site you’re working on?
batsandstats.com is using the Cols theme, not Broadsheet. In fact, I’m not able to find any site in your account using Broadsheet.
We used to offer the Broadsheet theme here on WordPress.com, but it has since been retired. If they’re using the WordPress.com version of Broadsheet on a WordPress.com site, the theme’s support won’t be able to help them.
Before referring someone to another place for support, unless it’s absolutely clear from the question that they’re speaking of a self-hosted site, it’s always best to first confirm the URL of the site they’re speaking of :)

Hi @kokkieh,
Thanks for the advice.
I can see that batsandstats.com has changed the theme. Lastly, there was a Broadsheet theme installed which I checked from the page source too. Where I foundhttps://s0.wp.com/wp-content/themes/broadsheet/
The design and theme is not the same as today.
Sorry & my apologies, will focus on having more clear info. :)
Thanks again.
