Background color of slideshow
-
Hi. I have tried switching the background color box in Media Settings from black to white but nothing happens. I still have the black background on my slideshows. Can I get rid of this black background without an upgrade?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That setting is for the gallery carousel, not for regular slideshows.
Normally you’d need the upgrade to change the blackish frame around slideshows, but I have developed a workaround: -
Amazing!! Thank you so much! I am still not achieving black text for the captions even though I adjusted the numbers as you said. Sorry to be such a tech idiot! All help most gratefully received.

It’s the second slideshow, at the bottom of the text – I left the first for comparison. Happy New Year and thanks again for your help. -
a) To completely cover the original frame, turn the 470 to 480.
b) You’re not a tech idiot! This workaround simply places a colored mask in front of the original frame: it cannot change the color of the captions. -
Fantastic. I have learned quite a lot by looking through your blog and the various questions and your answers on this topic. It is amazing to me that there are people out there (yourself included) who are prepared to give your time and expertise to help the rest of us with these issues. So thank you!
