Background color on content page.

So, I’m working on my fansite, and I’m having a bit of trouble with customizing the background color on the content page. Here, have a look:

I want to know how I would change the color of all that white area where the sidebar and entries are. Or, what the codes are to do that. Thank you in advance for your help.

You did not specify a blog address or reason for posting when you created this topic.
This support forum is for WordPress.com hosted blogs only. If you have a self-hosted WordPress blog you need to seek help at the WordPress.org forums, not here.
If you don’t understand the difference, you may find this information helpful.

new to this wordpress thing but have looked at 12, yes 12 forum posts which should be valid FOR A CSS FORUM!!!! and not one got an answer to a simple thing like changing a background!!!
Sambausers you just sound rude “If you don’t understand the difference…” (!!!!!!)
Cheeky sod.
What a complete waste of time this forum is!!!!!!
YOU DO NOT NEED TO SEE A BLOG TO ANSWER A CSS question. Simple as.
Rude people.

Click “member” under Sambausers’ name and you will realize that it is an auto-response. We used to have many folk with WordPress.ORG mistakenly coming to the wp.COM forum and we can’t help them. Our software is different. Also, keep in mind that people answering questions on this forum are mostly volunteers—your fellow bloggers. And we are not rude. This is one of the best forums I’ve ever seen on the internet.
By the way, most of us do not know CSS, and wp.com provides no official support for it. There are a few expert volunteers who stop by to help, but one should not expect them to be on the forums everyday.
The blog linked to your name is not a WordPress.com blog. Did you have a question? If so, please give us a link.
