Background Colors

I’v heard theres a way to change the background colors of blogs here without the CSS upgrade by doing a “trick” with a text widgit. I did find one post about that while searching a couple of days ago but I can’t find that post anymore. Can someone explain this? I don’t have the CSS upgrade, and tried to put this code:
body {background-color:#b0c4de;}
into the text widgit to see what would happen. Nothing happened really, the code just showed up in my sidebar. I am pretty sure this can be done as I saw a post explaining exactly what to do as a work-around a few days ago. I simply just forget what to do, and can no longer find that post. Can someone help me with this?

Do you think it would be worth a go at contacting support directly about a work-around? For the people who only want to change the background color and have no other CSS customizations?
