    Hello,

I am having a huge issue with load time for the background images in my blog. Right now, the images are feeding in from photobucket, which is specified in my custom CSS. Is there another location I can pull from to make them load faster?? http://somthinsfishy.wordpress.com THANKS!!!!

You missed an “e” in the URL you posted: http://somethinsfishy.wordpress.com/ . You have two problems. To answer your question, yes you can speed thing up by uploadint the image here at wordpress, but an even bigger issue is the files size of the image which is 460k. That is way too large. You need to optimize that image and bring it down to around 50k or less.

First off, take that image and optimize it in an image editing program and then upload it just like you would an image to put into a post, but don’t insert it into a post. Copy the URL out of the insert image window (you might have to click the “file URL button if the URL doesn’t show) and then put that URL into the CSS.
