Background Image STILL
-
How do I get my background image to stay still and no repeat? I only want the blog to scroll down, not the image. Can this be done?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
And the address of the blog is http:// ????
We need that in order to take a look and advise you. -

background-repeat: repeat;
background-position: 0 0;
I tried this and it didn’t work either. -
I’m seeing no background at all at http://jpskillz.wordpress.com/ , and the reason no one can see it is the URL for the image is from within your gmail account. You can see it because it is your account, but since no one else can log into your gmail account, we cannot see it.
You need to upload the image here to your media library and then put the URL of the uploaded image into the CSS.

Ok Husdal, Raincoaster and TSP, I made the necessary change. You should be able to see it now. http://jpskillz.wordpress.com/

OK, on the background declaration change repeat to no-repeat, and change scroll to fixed as below:
background:#FFFFFF url(http://jpskillz.files.wordpress.com/2009/09/jpskillzblogbackground.jpg) no-repeat fixed 0 0; -
You might also want to play with the x and y position settings for the image to move it around so that you are to the left a little more. Try the below:
background:#FFFFFF url(http://jpskillz.files.wordpress.com/2009/09/jpskillzblogbackground.jpg) no-repeat fixed -200px 0;You can also play with the second “0” which adjusts the y (vertical) position.

By the way, you have a very nice looking blog. Good job on it, and the background image is outstanding.

Thank you…and you guys are really outstanding! I’m gonna go play with this new intel right now! Thanks again, everyone.
