Background Images displaying

    Since the Custom Design option was made available I have had problems with this.

    This evening after one of many refreshes my vertically tiled background image suddenly reverted to an old image I used until a week or so ago. I had been working nowhere near this area however.

    The Background and Custom Design options were showing me what should be displayed as different things, neither actually being what was then subsequently displayed. I deleted the errant image eventually and managed to clear it from my page.

    The problem I have now is that Appearance is showing me a new image I have uploaded for this purpose, a save and view shows that nothing at all is now being displayed in this background.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    C.

    If I understand correctly, you want this to show up:
    http://onlyvictoryneedsnoexplanation.files.wordpress.com/2012/07/background-ad.jpeg

    If so, you need to delete this from your CSS:

    body.custom-background {
        background-image: url("//onlyvictoryneedsnoexplanation.files.wordpress.com/2012/07/ws-scans-2701.jpeg?w=109");
    }

    D’oh! Forgot that was still hanging around there. Thanks a lot!
