Background of my logo transparent

  Hey WordPress,

  I would like to know the correct CSS code to put in to make my logo background transparent so that it doesnt show the white background anymore.
  I am currently using the Dyad theme for my website and my logo is in my media library saved as png.

  Please let me know the correct CSS code.

  Hello there!

  It’s a little hard for me to give you the proper code without being able to view your site, but this might work?:

  #masthead {
  	background-color: transparent;
  }

  If that doesn’t then it would be really useful if you wouldn’t mind making your site un-private, even just temporarily while I work out the code :)

  Hey Sage,

  Ok, I put the website on Hidden but you can access my website with the URL 7pillarsrealestate.com

  I tried the CSS code you provided me and just copy and pasted it in CSS and nothing worked. The logo where I want the white background to be transparent with only the logo showing is in the top left corner of the website.

  First assist me with the proper CSS code and then later if you an tell me if its just a copy and paste thing in CSS and its meant to work directly or not.

  Hey there,

  Thanks! It’s not actually a CSS thing. Your logo is a png, but it still has the white background in the actual image. That white background needs to be taken out or you need a different version that doesn’t have it already in there. A png will keep a transparent background transparent but doesn’t automatically turn the white in an image transparent.

  Let me know if that doesn’t make sense,

  I understand what you mean. Before have tried PhotoShop Elements 15 with there trial but can’t get off the white background to make it transparent. Do you know any other online resourceful tools I can use to make the background transparent and get ride of the white?

  Hi there,

  Sorry for the delay in my response! I’d suggest maybe going to somewhere like fiverr as a designer would be able to take out the background for you pretty quickly. Otherwise, there are free image editing tools like GIMP that should help you do the job.
